Fibre Fineness Tester (Micronaire)
The Fibre Fineness Tester (Micronaire) is a specialized instrument used to evaluate the fineness and maturity of cotton fibres. It works by measuring the air permeability of a compressed fibre sample, providing quick and reliable results essential for textile quality control and fibre grading.
The instrument provides estimates of:
- Micronaire Value (Mc) – Indicates the combined effect of fibre fineness and maturity.
- Fineness – Expressed as weight per unit length (mtex-H).
- Percent Maturity (PM) – Determines the degree of fibre wall development.
Accurate micronaire testing is crucial for spinning performance, yarn quality, dye absorption, and overall fabric appearance. It is widely used by cotton ginners, textile mills, researchers, and fibre traders to ensure consistent raw material quality and optimal processing performance.

Flexometer
The Flexometer is designed to assess the flexing endurance of light leathers and their surface finishes. It is widely used to evaluate the ability of light leathers—such as those used in shoe uppers, gloves, and garments—to withstand repeated flexing without cracking. The ASIAN Flexometer provides accurate and reliable determination of flex resistance under controlled conditions.
The equipment is built on a rigid metallic base plate for stability and durability. The test specimen is securely held between a pair of stationary and oscillating grips. These specially designed grips allow quick fixing and removal of the specimen and are shaped in accordance with standard specifications.
A six-digit electronic counter with key reset and backup memory is provided to record the total number of flexing cycles completed by the specimen. The instrument is capable of performing a large number of flex cycles per test, making it suitable for laboratory and quality control applications.

Folding Endurance Tester
The Schopper Type Folding Endurance Tester is designed to determine the ability of paper to withstand repeated bending, folding, and creasing. It is widely used to evaluate the durability and service life of paper under continuous flexing conditions.
The instrument allows testing of two specimens simultaneously, improving efficiency. Spring-loaded clamps apply a standard load of 1000 g during testing to ensure consistent and reliable results.
The tester is equipped with two six-figure impulse counters with hold facility. When the first specimen ruptures, the corresponding head stops automatically while the second continues running. The machine automatically switches off once the second specimen breaks. The front panel includes start and stop push buttons with a light indicator to show the motor’s on/off status. An aluminum sheet cover protects the unit from dust and contamination.
Two independently operating folding units enable faster and more efficient testing.
