The Traverse Thread Counter is designed to accurately measure the number of threads per unit length in both warp and weft directions—one of the most important indicators of fabric quality. The system uses a motorized travelling microscope to clearly view the fabric weave, while calibrated openings of known widths allow precise counting of ends and picks in both metric and imperial units.

The base of the instrument is finished in durable metallic blue paint, and all remaining components are manufactured from stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting, trouble-free operation.
