Description
Testing Procedure
- Cut the fabric using the GSM cutter, which produces a 100 cm² sample.
- Weigh the cut specimen using an electronic balance.
- Multiply the measured weight by 100 to calculate the GSM value.
Example
If the weight of the cut sample is 2.51 grams, then:
GSM = 2.51 × 100 = 251 GSM
This means the fabric weight is 251 grams per square meter.
