Hardness Tester Shore D Square Model Flat Type
The Shore Hardness is defined as the resistance of a material to penetration by an indenter of specified shape under a defined load. The Shore D Square Model (Flat Type) is specially designed for measuring the hardness of harder plastics and rigid elastomers with high accuracy and repeatability.
This hardness tester is suitable for testing vulcanized rubber, plastics, ebonite, fibre, and other hard elastomeric materials. It conforms to the latest American Standard ASTM D2240 and German Standard DIN 53505.
Range: 0 to 100 Shore D
Description
Shore D hardness testers are recommended for:
- Hard plastics with hardness between 30 and 90 Shore D
- Harder elastomers with hardness above 80 Shore A
- Rigid polymer and composite materials
The instrument provides reliable and consistent hardness readings for laboratory testing, quality control, and production inspection applications.
