Wrinkle Recovery Tester
The ability of a fabric to recover from creasing or folding deformation is known as wrinkle recovery. The IKON Wrinkle Recovery Tester is designed to evaluate the appearance of textile fabrics after controlled wrinkling. It is suitable for fabrics made from any type of fibre or fibre blends.
This instrument helps manufacturers and quality control laboratories assess crease resistance and finishing performance under standardized conditions.
Description
Principle
A test specimen is wrinkled under standard atmospheric conditions using a specified load for a predetermined time. After wrinkling, the specimen is reconditioned under standard textile testing conditions. The wrinkle recovery is then evaluated by visually comparing the specimen with three-dimensional reference standards.
Equipment Details
The Wrinkle Recovery Tester consists of:
- A sturdy base with a vertical stand
- A fixed bottom flange
- A movable top flange with locking pin arrangement
- Three calibrated weights: 500 g, 1000 g, and 2000 g
For visual assessment, an optional photographic reference scale is available separately (not included with the standard equipment).
